Our work
Four focus areas, one mission
Education, healthcare, community development, and culture are connected. NCF brings them together to strengthen knowledge, care, skills, and belonging.
Education & Enterprise
Education and Enterprise Development
Scholarships, skills training, and internships that help young people turn learning into careers. When young people thrive, their communities do too.
What this work includes
We identify skills gaps, run entrepreneurship workshops for young people, award scholarships, and link learners with local MSMEs for internships. Our goal is to give young people the knowledge, experience, and support to build sustainable livelihoods.
Work in education & enterprise
Healthcare
Healthcare
Community health support informed by conventional medicine and Igbo knowledge. Good health helps people learn, work, and care for their families.
What this work includes
NCF's long-term vision includes a research institute that would work with local traditional practitioners, including dibia, to study traditional Igbo herbal remedies alongside conventional practice. Community programmes may include mobile health units, mental-health awareness, health education workshops, and nutrition initiatives.
Community & Sustainable Living
Community Development and Sustainable Living
Vocational training, mentorship, and digital skills that help women and young people build sustainable livelihoods. When people can support themselves, they can support their communities.
What this work includes
The programme includes skills development, vocational training, mentorship, career guidance, entrepreneurship support, digital literacy, and financial education. The long-term vision also includes road maintenance, rural bridges, and tree planting, including bamboo, for host communities and the future university town.

Culture & Heritage
Igbo and Indigenous Cultural Renaissance
Language, omenana, and oral history carried forward by the people who know them. Culture is living knowledge passed between generations.
What this work includes
We document, preserve, and promote Igbo language, history, and arts through oral-history projects, youth language classes, cultural festivals, and publications on folklore and traditional governance. Cultural exchanges, language-preservation activities, and youth-centred literacy workshops help carry this work forward.
Everything connects
Why these four areas belong together
Education can open routes to enterprise. Enterprise can strengthen household incomes and support health services. Good health helps people learn, work, and care for their families. Culture gives this work a sense of belonging. These areas are strongest when pursued together.
When a child can stay in school, they have a better chance to build skills. Skills can open routes to work or enterprise. In turn, stronger household incomes can support health, learning, and community life.
How we measure progress NCF will publish results only when it can verify them with a clear source and timeframe. It will pair these results with the experiences of people involved in the work.
